Music Express Group- Rawlett School Donation 2019

On Friday 21 st June, 2019, our music express group had a surprise visit from
Judith Scot and pupils from our local school, Rawlett.
They presented us with a very much appreciated cheque for £331.10.
The pupils raise the money for local community groups through various ideas
and activities. They have been doing this for over ten years.

We would like to thank the pupils and Judith for choosing Uniquely Me & U for
a second year. Being a voluntary run group, we rely on the kind donations to
be able to offer a much needed opportunity to adults living with
learning/sensory disabilities.

Our Music Express Group encourages those who have communication
difficulties, to express themselves through music and in other ways. Using
pictures of their choice that relate to their songs. Also, encouraging them to
use actions instead of singing their favourite songs. This is being enjoyed very
much. We are helping them to explore different musical instruments.
The kind donation from Rawlett School will go towards offering another
session on one Saturday in a month, due to start soon.
